It only clocks in at around 33 minutes, but this album took a LONG time to make; I started writing and recording it in July 2017. However, three of the tracks here actually date back to an abandoned instrumental project from 2004, and there are snippets from home videos from the early nineties. As a result, it incorporates music recorded in most of the houses & flats that I have lived in throughout my life, including my childhood home and my Grandmother’s house in Somerset.

The general idea is that this is a record about-and-for the friends and family that I have had throughout my life, some of whom you can hear on the songs (via their awesome contributions which I am extremely grateful for), and some of whom are (hopefully) evoked.

The artwork is inspired by my old Primary School swimming bag and the badges that adorned it; swimming is an ever present theme throughout ‘Our Shared History’ and so it seemed to make sense. Even if it doesn’t make sense to you, hopefully you can agree that it looks decent.
